The role in Tootsie not only was the start of her career, it also earned her a lifelong friendship with Dustin Hoffman - whom she calls her mentor.

In 1999 she placed 24th out of 28 semi-finalists in the tryouts for the United States Olympic Archery team.

She learned to play the flute, and also was assistant organist in her church in her hometown in Massachusetts.

Geena was an exchange student in Sweden, and speaks Swedish close to fluent.

She allegedly has an IQ of 140, and is a member of Mensa International.

In the late 1990s, she was cast as Queen Beryl in a never-produced American live-action movie adaptation of the anime Sailor Moon.

Läste att du varit utbyteselev i Sverige, jag var det i Scarborough, Maine class of 77. Det är dags för reunion i sommar och jag tycker det ska bli kul! Gillar dig som skådis, bra filmer. Min 14 årige son skjuter fristil i båge./mvh
